Current Love List: Books, Salted Caramel, Videos That Make Me Cry
Time for a ‘because the spirit has moved me’ list of all the things I’m love, love, loving right now. No affliate commission, just the stuff I think is awesome right now. Dive in.
First up – on my digital nightstand right now is a great book called This Is Not the Story You Think It Is…A Season of Unlikely Happiness. It’s an awesome blend of true story, wisdom and spirituality. It’s the real life application of everything we talk about here – choice, releasing, acceptance, taking radical responsibility for you. She manages all of this in the face of her husband saying “I don’t think I love you anymore”. Compelling.
Looking for an awesome community of health warriors? Want a tribe leader who’s all pink highlights and cowboy boots? Look no further than Kris Carr, head girl of the Crazy Sexy Life posse. Her story is totes amaze (try facing down stage IV cancer and still living with it 10 years later) and she’s just pulled together a luscious list of green juice and smoothie recipes. Yes, I said green. Check it out!
I’m (always) loving this quote:
I want to unfold, for where I am folded there I am a lie – Rainer Rilke
I’m also diving into Rilke’s Letters To A Young Poet. Lush.
Kara Coconut Milk. I’m not a big fan of dairy.
Salted Caramel. Just this week I found a recipe for salted caramel and chocolate brownie cake. I will making it this weekend.
Instagram is still absolutely my favourite iPhone app. Love, love, love it. BUT…how about getting yourself enrolled on a photography course that helps you heal the way you see yourself and the world. Sounds pretty awesome, right? Well, get yourself over to Susannah Conway’s home online and check out her goodness.
I’m always loving cooking. Always. It’s a relaxing meditation (the more patience you can bring to cooking, the better. Having the confidence to just let it do it’s thing applies to life as much as it does to cooking). I also find it creative; the adding, the morphing of this recipe into that…if you love that as much as I do, you’ll love 101 Cookbooks. All the recipes are veggie, so better for you, better for the planet and the photography is stunning.
And, last but by no means least, I will never tire of watching this video. Ever. It broke my heart in the best possible way and I know it’s done the same for very close friend of mine. Let yourself crack, the cracks are where the light gets in.
